Alpha Dawg

Site owner's fave scooter - love that small back wheel! With the 20/16 format you can race down mountain switch back trails as fast as your dog can run. The rear of the scooter is fitted with dual dropouts. You can buy it with 20 or 16 inch wheels. Scooter racers in Australia choose 20 inch wheels because they are large enough to cover rough ground and small enough to make tight turns.

Testimonial by Rancy Reyes, February 2006

"I'm a big fan of the Diggler Alpha Dawg, too."

"Yeah, ditto for me. I love my Alpha Dawg! Prior to buying it in September, I was mulling over getting a "starter scooter" along the lines of the Dirt Dawg or the Toucan. And I am sure glad I waited and invested the extra money in buying the Alpha Dawg."

"We run almost exclusively on dirt trails and I confidently go over rocks, bumps, and even dirt holes that suddenly manifest themselves when we try out new trails. The front shocks work great and I opt to use the 16" rear wheel as it makes for a better fit in the SUV."

"When we went out for a scooter run the other morning, I happened to glance down at the speedometer and we were doing close to 17 MPH. Right then a jackrabbit darted directly in front of the dogs' noses. They made a hard right while in turbo mode, chasing after the little critter. Panic took over my brain so I let go of the handlebars and jumped off the scooter. They continued to drag it about 30 feet off the trail before coming to a stop. I wasn't sure what condition my scooter was going to be in but once I got to it, everything was fine except for the sizeable amount of dirt on the handlebars that it dragged off the ground."

"Also, there haven't been any noticeable scratches (not that I care since I drop it on the ground all the time) on its burnished aluminum paint job. It's built like a tank and can take a beating."
